English -
Today we finished our movie that we used to review vocabulary terms.  We will discuss tomorrow and take a quiz on Friday.  No Homework!!

Social Studies -
Today we defined the terms latitude and longitude, discussed how they were measured, and talked about how to use a grid.  No Homework!


**Your student has a note coming home today about a field trip next week.  The note is to serve as informational so that you can help your student plan to dress for the weather & so that you know where we will be. :)  No chaperones are needed.  Below is the information that is in the note:

Saugatuck State Park Field Trip

Throughout 6th grade, one of our goals is to give ALL students outside learning experiences in each season.  For our fall outdoor experience, we will be headed as a team to the Saugatuck State Park for some activities.  There is no cost for this experience, but wanted to inform you that your student will be off campus for this trip in case you needed to plan accordingly for appointments, etc. 

Who:  All 6th graders in Lillmars, Young, and Schuiteman Homeroom
What:  Trip to Saugatuck State Park
When:  Tuesday, October 31st  from 8:00 – 10:45 a.m.
             

We will be outside the entire time!!  Please dress for the weather!
