Can it really be possible that we are at the end?  Where did the time go?

Thank you so very much for giving me the opportunity to grow with your child.  It has been amazing to watch them grow, learn and make friends.  Enjoy time with them and we will see them in the halls next year!

Today we had a little work time on trailers & then started watching them.  We will finish watching tomorrow.  :)  No HW!!

Social Studies -
We are done with SS for the year..... we had a fun field day outside this afternoon instead!!  No HW!

Today we had our last filming day for movie trailers.  No HW!!

Social Studies -
Today we talked about current events using CNN 10 & then we discussed little things they could do to improve the world's global problems.  NO HW!!!  This is our last official SS of the year..... we have a field fun day tomorrow afternoon & only a half day Friday, so our afternoon SS is done for this school year!!!

Today stories were returned graded!!  Also, groups continued to work on movie trailers for their books.  No HW!!

We had the rest of our physical feature presentations today!!  No HW!

Lillmars

Science: This week in science, the students are conducting their data-collecting investigations and producing their final lab write up.

Social Studies: The students are working on diagramming the difference between urban, suburban, and rural areas.

Math:  Today we piloted an interim assessment over expressions and inequalities.  No HW
**Several students do not yet have their statistics projects turned in.  These count for 5 grades!  You should have received an email over the weekend if your child is on this list.  Thank you for your help!

SS:  Physical Features presentations.

Today groups worked on the movie trailer for their book club group!  No Homework, unless you have props that you need for your trailer!

Social Studies -
Groups started presentations on their physical feature investigations.  No Homework!

Math:  We worked on measurement today.  Students were given 15 questions related to Wrigley Field to work with customary measurement and the metric system.  These are due at the start of the class Monday.

SS:  Physical Features Presentations.  No HW

English -
Today books and jobs were collected from book club.  Then, the final project was introduced to students.  They will be making movie trailers for their book!!  They started the brainstorming process & will start filming on Monday.  No HW for most..... I still need 7 stories!!  Please ask your student if his or hers is one of them!!

Social Studies -
Today we had a final work time on our physical feature presentations..... we will present on Monday!!
No HW!

Well, it has finally begun.  We are seeing a rapid decline in behavior and work completion.  Please take a moment to talk with your child and encourage them to "Be The Good" and finish the year strong and on a positive note.  We still have lots to do before June 9!

Math:  Inequalities - if not finished in class, finish for class tomorrow!

SS:  Physical Features Presentations begin tomorrow!

Today we had our final book club meeting to discuss the book as a whole.
We also went over a summer letter from me.... students have been given some summer reading and writing suggestions & this has a huge list of recommendations from classmates on great books, series, and authors to check out this summer!  We discussed the "summer slide" and how to avoid it! :)

HW- Stories are due tomorrow if you still have to finish!!!
HW- Book club packets are due tomorrow - most students are probably done, but they can finalize anything that needs to be finished before tomorrow.

Social Studies -
Today was a hopeful last work day to prep for presentations on our physical features.
No HW!
