Today we did an activity with a penny that centered around getting students to think about how to analyze. We then worked on our academic vocabulary sheet for the word analyze. No Homework!!

Today we reviewed the terms fiction & non-fiction as they apply to both reading & writing. Then, students were given the assignment to write a "Summer Story". This story can be fiction or non-fiction. They had a brainstorm session & have started to write. No Homework!

Math: Today we took the Delta Screener. Scores will be posted in PS as soon as I have the chance to put them in. This is only one small tool we use to help understand each student as a math learner. If you have questions, feel free to contact me. "Powers" homework is due tomorrow! Calculators are OK on this assignment.
